Cottonwood - "Future
Giant" of Bonita Creek

Further down the trail we spot the first "Future Giant" of the Bonita Creek channel.

Though small now, these cottonwood trees (genus: Populus) could grow to 25 meters tall.

Look for heart-shaped leaves to identify them as Cottonwood Trees.


Move forward to see the second "Future Giant" of Bonita Creek.
