Here is where the water from Bonita Creek channel mixes with the much larger San Diego Creek (the arrow shows the direction of the flow). Any guess which water is cleaner?
Most of the water running down Bonita Creek channel is run-off from upland developments. Unless it is raining, this run-off consists of water from irrigation systems and storm drains (those grated openings you occasionally see along the curb in your neighborhood).
